Which is the best ratio to be used for component designators on top and bottom overlay layers? I am currently using H=0.8 mm with W=0.2 mm, Is there another preferred ratio?

i have been using 30 -10 mill for years and thats indeed 0.8/ 0.2 it sjust small enought to get it on there and big enough to read porperly.. if you go smaller it will blurr your designators.. at some point the number of desingators wont fit anymore.. then you will go put them on a mechanical layer and not doing a top overlay anymore.. (also a bit cheaper)

If I am not sure, I often print silkscreen on paper and see if it is what I want.
