Altium Footprint Manager Hates me
The Chosen One , 05-13-2024, 05:11 AM
So I am currently designing a PCB and when I try and import the components from the schematic to the PCB, it works fine, except for this one component and its saying that it cant find the footprint. However, the footprint is right there in the library that I created as you can see in the attached photos. HELP ME PLEASE

I would try to rename it, try a simple and short name just letters e.g. TEST and see if that helps

Rename the library I made or the library that is imported?

footprint

Once I rename the footprint, am I then supposed to just update the schematic? I cant figure out what I am supposed to change after that

you need to update also footprint in your symbol, then update your schematic and then PCB. This video can give you some ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7GP6NZs0Ok

Have you 'installed' the library?Preferences -> Data Management -> File based libraries.

I fixed the problem a while ago, I fixed it by going into the library manager and looking at the library. Turns out it was looking for the footprint in some place other than the library I created in the project.
