correcting error in the schematic

Hello,
I am taking the essential course and I am doing lesson 4. When I was working on the layout I noticed that I have made a mistake in the schematic because three pins that are not supposed to be connected are connected to each other. I checked the schematic and this was confirmed. Pins # 1 and # 4 are connected to each other. Please see the first attached picture. The second picture shows that pins 23, 25, and 26 are highlighted. I would like to correct the schematic so that board is also corrected . I want to do the following
1. correct the schematic
2. Update the design so that it is in sync with the board
3. do the routing
Is this the correct way to do it? I really appreciate your feedback.
thank you,
best regards
H

@hmoraghebi ,
Yes this is the correct sequence.
By this sequence you PCB will have the same primitives connected as you change in the schematic.
Thank you.
