Does Altium show any simulations?

yu-hao.cheng@terex.com , 05-03-2016, 02:57 PM
Hello All,

I am studying the switching power supply design course just finished part 5. I took a peek at part 6 but I saw no simulations at all. Therefore, I wonder if there is any simulations for this course?

Thank you!

Hello @yu-hao.cheng@terex.com. No, we do not have simulation in any of the courses. I do not simulate in Altium (I tried, but it is not the best tool to do it) and a proper simulation software is very expensive.

If you would like to simulate power supplies, some chip manufacturers have a simulation tool. You can try them e.g. TI: http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/analog/webench/power.page
