Metal plates on PCB

Hello,
I ask this question because can't find the answer on Google.
Does anyone know where I can find information about these metal parts on the PCB?
It is the metal plates on the PCB, in general on battery protection boards to which connected nickel strips. I suppose they use them because may do the spot welding connection of nickel strip to PCB through this plate.
I believe that these plates are the standard part and not the custom-made part from metal and I want to find information about them. Recommended footprint layout and recommendations.
Maybe someone knows something about them?

They can be custom parts, but Keystone (https://www.keyelco.com/) is one that has many battery connections. They also make custom products.
