BGA Footprints

The Chosen One , 08-06-2024, 03:55 AM
I am currently trying to make my own FPGA dev board, and I want to use a BGA component. Cause why not

How do I make the BGA footprint from the datasheet? More specificlly, where can I find the ball size and ball to ball distance on the data sheet?

This is the part I was looking at (And other similar parts): https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/microchip-technology/AGL030V2-UCG81/2745027

Just curious, how did you find this? Is this just on their website?

First step, download all the chip documentation from the manufacturer webpage https://www.microsemi.com/existing-parts/parts/142372#support
