RE : High Speed Interfaces

Hi Everybody,
For sometime now, I have been working with high speed interfaces in ADCs and DACs like LVDS, JESD etc. I design these boards such that they can be directly interfaced with the FPGA development boards off the shelf. How does one decide what type of board to board connector to use? I want the boards to be cheap and so ideally want to use a standard PCB to PCB connectors. Is there any document or recommendation based on the data rates which type of connectors to use ?
Looking forward to your reply,
Nikhil

We used these, they are not expensive
DF40C-100DP-0.4V(51) (around $1 USD):
http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...4CT-ND/1969494Normally I have a look at what other people / boards are using for similar interfaces and double check with datasheet if I can use it for my interface / speed. Be careful about number of insertions - depends how often people will disassemble your boards, some connectors guaranties only very small number of insertions (e.g. 5, 10, ...)
