Hi everyone. need some advice. does anyone have experience with this chip?
do i really need the 5 volt pins to be in float state?
and what is this resistor for?

Here is an (unofficial) English vesion of the datasheet: https://www.laskakit.cz/user/related_files/ch224ds1.pdf
Cfg2 and Cfg3 are "do not care" for 5V. That means they can be either high or low.
The resistor is there as the Vdd input for the CH224K should be low and not connected directly to Vbus that can go up to 22V. The excess voltage is dissipated in the resistor.
