Hello Robert,

I would like to ask if you have some output job file example how to setup it as a profesional output?
Or some example how might be looking profesional documentation output of some pcb/device?

Thanks for advice.

For the best set you need at least 3 job files.
One for fabrication, 1 for assembly and 1 for your own documentation (ie. schematics).
Use project parameters to drive the output names.
Have Draftsman files for documentation.
Then use the project releaser to generate all files in one go.

Currently I do not have access to my jobfiles. Remind me in a few days to post them here.

Let me know if any templates are missing and you cannot get your own working.

Otherwise, how the cross reference output works?
QDrives , 10-22-2024, 07:56 PM
In the past I had a Bill of Materials **and** a cross reference.
The BoM had quantities and lots of details, but no designators.
The cross reference had each component on a single line, so no quantities, it had a "remark" column (ie. optional) and not much of the 'general' details.

I got complaints that they did not understand this split system, so now it is all in a single BoM.

But in Altium, in a sense there is no difference between them. Both can be configured the same and will result in the same data.
