Eric Bogatin

Since January 2021, Eric Bogatin has been a full-time professor in the ECEE department, teaching the Practical PCB Course and the Senior Design Capstone Course. He is also engaged in research on signal integrity, circuit design, and rapid circuit prototyping, collaborating with faculty and students.

He serves as the technical editor of the Signal Integrity Journal and is a Fellow with Teledyne LeCroy, where he offers webinars and presentations on best measurement practices and leads the Signal Integrity Academy.

Prof. Bogatin earned his BS in physics from MIT and his MS and PhD in physics from the University of Arizona, focusing on lasers and quantum optics. He spent 40 years in industry in senior engineering and management roles at companies including Bell Labs, Raychem, Sun Microsystems, Ansoft, and Interconnect Devices. He has authored 18 technical books and lectures worldwide on signal integrity.

In 1990, he founded Bogatin Enterprises with his wife Susan; the company was acquired by Teledyne LeCroy in 2011, where he developed the Signal Integrity Academy, an online training platform for individuals and companies.
